I am so happy right now. Like, really.

Fringe blew my mind. No pun intended, btw. I love how Anna Torv rocks the Alt!Olivia acting with her mad skillz, it's all in the subtlety of how she carries herself, when her snorts are misplaced, how she kept looking at the blood creeping in from under the door while making out with Peter (BADTOUCH BADTOUCH ZOMG), all this while remaining convincing enough to fool the people around her. I think it's kind of obvious how off Alt!Olivia is behaving when you consider how much she smiles, how she wasn't drinking with Peter and how she took him out to DANCE, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FUN AND NOT WORK-RELATED. Also how she's so distant with Walter, which kind of stings because even when she was pissed off her mind with him when she found out about his experiments on her, she was still there enough to let him know she did not like him one bit, now though, it's like she's brushing him off at every turn and it's sad to watch.

BUT, Astrid steps in with her caring and being coolly collected in the face of Walter's crazy antics (the comforting sucking sound of brain mass being pulled out the cranial cavity is my personal Good Night Mixtape. Maybe this is why I've been having so many insomnia spells lately) always gives her extra brownie points with me because she, like Olivia, is so not what you would expect from someone doing what she does. And this is THE selling point of this show as far as I'm concerned. Alsoalsoalso she got so much screen time I was overjoyed! Like, bouncing-up-and-down-on-my-chair overjoyed. Emotional support and recognition of her four-wheel-ness in this family unit FTW!

Plus, Peter got to show off his smart for a change, though that was undermined by his hormones failure to recognize, or at least be a bit ticked off by, the slight offness of Olivia, but maybe he thinks this is how she behaves when in love? Maybe he's chalking it up to PTSD on both their ends? We'll have to wait and see how long this situation carries on (and who realizes it first). I'm kind of excited about this story line, actually.  Please Fringe, do not let me down.

Awww! I loved this one, it was very emotionally poignant and never fell for the cheap laughs! (that I recall right now), it furthers the otherness of Sam and there's another piece of the puzzle that is Grandpa Wrong-Touch Skinner's Scheme, he's working for someone, and maybe this someone is the one that brought them back? Hmmm.

I loved how Sam was spot on in his calling out of Dean's behavior and how it brings back the idea that, as misguided as he might have been, John (Sam named the baby John, while Dean went for Bobby, my heart leaped there for a second, boys) really was trying to do his best. And I think Dean needs to realize this in order to forgive his father for all the things that were done to and taken from him. Not that this is what the episode's point seemed to have been, but since we're in the subject of dads...

Kinda glad the offed the blond cousin dude, his suggestion that the baby would be a great hunter was really creepy and I hated him right there and then, liked him better when he kept his horrible opinions to himself. Oh look! the Campbells can actually use all the weapons they spend so much time caressing, nice to know. Do not like them, can you tell? Why does Sam trust in them so much, again?

Lisa. She rocks. She's my hero and I'm glad they kept her around. She does not shy away from calling things by their names and she's perceptive enough to see Dean's torn (not that it takes much, mind, but she knows what it's really about. Another woman might have thought he was having an affair or something else equally un-Deanlike, 's all I'm sayin'). She's also clever and confident enough to know they can give it a try, if it works out all the better, if it doesn't at least they'll know. She doesn't strike me as the type to be walking around with regrets and what ifs, she faces things head on. Because she's tough like that. She gets Dean, she gave him time to come to terms with his shit on his own, and waited until he admitted he wanted to be with them before pitching her idea, she knows what it means to Dean to be a hunter and she knows what it means to the three of them to have each other, and she acted in accordance with both of those facts. This is why I love her so. I also love how she can be the catalyst for Dean's self-hatred to tune it down a notch or two, this is what relationships with people who aren't you brother can do for you, they help you see yourself in a different light, and the thought of his work as not something awful and burdensome, not the entirety of his life and his worth as a person, but as a part of the whole (there is so much more he can be and is, and I think he might be able to see some of that now that there's other people to show it to him) of him will do wonders for him. This is the type of things Dean needs to hear from someone else, someone who can walk away from him but chooses to stay, as opposed to someone who's co-dependent on him as well as his brother (this is like how your mom is supposed to say you were the best little bee in the school's play about little bees, yanno?).

Yup, pretty solid imho. Also, CAR!PORN, YIS. Let's ignore the plot holes, yeah? We've spent the past five years doing it rather remarkably, won't do to stop now... even though they were glaring enough for me to catch them the first time around ::eyeroll::
::clutches shows to heart::

Merlin tonight!! ::sits on hands:: I'm told Gwen's face will be on it, AND YOU KNOW THAT IS ENOUGH TO GET ME TWITCHY WITH IMPATIENCE.
